Weekly Update! (Delayed)

Sorry this post is late! I hope its delay hasn't caused any difficulties. Oh, and please feel free to submit new items for the Weekly Agenda and

This week's agenda:

Monday -
  • AP English Language and Composition (Ms. Harvilchuck) - There will be a test today on everything we've covered so far. Be sure to know the aims of the course, the grading policies, the rationale for the notebook set-up, the literary aspects discussed in the epigraphs, the themes literary aspects, and rhymes of the Frost poem, the relationship between Frye's essay and Yeats' poem, the image systems in "The Rocking-Horse Winner", the grammar we cover in class, vocabulary (both sheets, unless she doesn't return the first in time), and know how to talk about literary aspects in relation to their meaning.
Tuesday -
  • AP European History (Mr. Jones) - There will be a test on sections 8-15 in Palmer and Colton, chapters 13, 14, and section 1 of chapter 15. Also, there may be questions from the lecture notes.
  • Pre-IB Chemistry (Ms. Nagel) - There is a test today on chapter three. There will be multiple-choice, matching, fill-in-the-blank, a chart, and math questions. Be sure to know the five points of Dalton's atomic theory.
  • AP Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - The Catalysis lab is due today. There are many requirements; please refer to the sheet she gave us at the beginning of the year and anything you may have copied from what she said class.
  • IB TOK (Mrs. Brooks and Mrs. Benson) - Journal Entries (all eight of them) are due today.
  • IB French IV (Mrs. May) - Vocab lists from that imperative exercise are due today, and the "Conseils" oral is today as well--have five affirmative statements of advice and five "what not to do" statements, from your partner-chosen topic.
Wednesday -
  • Pre-IB Chemistry (Ms. Nagel) - All science fair paperwork as specified on the handout is due today. If it is not in today, you may not get to do the project you want to, as many need to be approved by the school district.
  • AP Human Geography (Mr. Sutton) - It has been hinted that there will by a "pop" quiz today. Look over your notes; be prepared.
  • Algebra II Honors (Mr. Bobbitt) - There is a review quiz today on all of the chapters that have been covered.
  • Spanish II (Sra. Martelli) - There is a quiz today on vocabulary. Memorize ten vocabulary words from the section "Antonyms and Synonyms" on the packet.
  • IB Pre-Calculus (Li) - There is a test on Chapter 3 - Polynomial and Rational Functions. Be sure to review the examples from class.

Thursday -

  • AP Calculus BC (Mr. Bobbitt) - The review on Graphing and Transformations (#5) is due today. There will be a test on Oct. 1, heads up.
  • IB French IV (Mrs. May) - Vocabulary and Grammar (the imperative) test today.
  • AP Statistics (Ms. Li) - The take-home quiz is due today.

Friday -

  • Spanish II (Sra. Martelli) - Memorize ten more vocabulary words from the section "Antonyms and Synonyms" on the packet. Make sure they are different from the ones you used on Wednesday.
  • Spanish II (Sr. Alemañy) - There is a quiz.
  • AP European History (Mr. Jones) - There is a quiz on the map. Make sure to know all the countries, their capitals, and their locations!
  • AP European History (Mr. Bullington) - There is a test on the English Reformation and parts of the Catholic Reformation.
  • IB World Geography (Mr. Sutton) - Presentations are due today.
  • AP Chemistry (Ms. Smith) - There is a quiz on chapter five.
  • AP U.S. History (Mr. Rose) - Test on chapters 10-11.
  • AP Calculus AB (Ms. Paedae) - Test corrections are due today.
  • Pre-IB Chemistry (Ms. Nagel) - The density lab is due today.
