AP Biology, Chapters 22 - 25, Guide

AP Bio, Terms and Concepts for Mechanisms of Evolution, Guide

Weekly Update!

This week's agenda:

Monday -

Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday - No School :)

Tuesday -
  • IB TOK (Mrs. Brooks) - Journal Entry (Who Won the Olympics?) Due today.
  • AP Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - There is a test on Chapters 22 - 25. This is including Chapter 22 and 25.
  • IB World Geography (Mr. Sutton) - The rough draft of the IA is due. Remember, the max is 1500 words. Sutton suggests apportioning the word count for each section according to how many points the section is worth. For instance, since Parts A, B, C, and E are each worth 5 marks out of 30, and Part D is worth 10 marks, then to assign the words proportionally, Parts A, B, C, and E should each get approximately 250 words each, while Part D should be reserved for approximately 500 words.

Wednesday -

  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - Have part four of Crime and Punishment read.

Thursday -

Friday -

  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - Essay (2-3 pages) due on Crime and Punishment: Pick a character. Examine their motivations and textual function. Describe when and how they are introduced, and the effect of their presence and actions on the plot, development of other characters, theme, and ideas of the novel. Due today.

APEH, French Revolution and Napoleon, Bullington

I regret to say that I am not feeling well at all and do not plan on finishing this guide. I have worked on some of the terms, but the rest I leave up to you to define. Please know that I would not stop working on a guide unless I felt it was absolutely necessary for my health and that I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Oh, and all students attending Florida District 1 Thespian Festival this weekend--remember to arrange with your teachers to turn in Friday assignments later. Or, in the case of Mr. Bobbitt and others like him, turn things in early.

Weekly Update!

Alright! It's the first weekly update of the new year! Hope everyone has a great second semester.

Tuesday -
  • IB World Geography (Mr. Sutton) - It'd be nice to have some research done for your IA, though it's not mandatory. Don't forget the rough draft is due 20 January.
  • IB Theatre I (Mrs. Brooks) - I recommend being up-to-date on your journal entries, though she hasn't given us any sort of due date for anything yet.
  • AP Chemistry (Mrs. Smith) - The take-home test on Chapters 13 and 14 will be due.
Wednesday -
  • AP English Literature and Composition (Mr. Murray) - I apologize for not getting the assignment myself, as I didn't see the board, but through reliable sources I have heard that we will be having a quiz on major themes and characters from Madame Bovary. Be sure to have all of the book read. If someone could comment and confirm this, that would be great.
