Weekly Update!

Hi, everyone! Time for another exciting week! This week, October 13-17 is Homecoming week! There will be a separate update for that. Now here is your school week.

Monday -

Attention everyone interested: Rhodes college (Memphis) will be in the IB office from 8:30 to 9:30 am. I think WashU is visiting today, too.

  • Geometry Honors (Mr. Naes) - We are having the test on Chapter 4 and turning in our notecards with the definitions, postulates (skip the Ruler Postulate and the Protractor Postulate), Theorems, and Corollaries.

Tuesday -
  • Geometry Honors (Mr. Naes) - We are having an FCAT assessment.
Wednesday -
  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - Oral reports on Conrad and the Congo, etc., start today. Section one of Heart of Darkness due, typed. NOTE: On part A of the guide, #5 has an error: "Marlow's interruption by" should be "interruption of."

Thursday -
  • AP Calculus BC (Mr. Bobbitt) - The review on the unit circle (odd problems) is due today.
  • AP Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - There is a test on Chapter Nine: Cellular Respiration. While it is not necessary to memorize every single intermediate molecule and enzyme in glycolysis and cellular respiration, recognize key molecules and know the inputs/outputs of each stage.
  • Geometry Honors (Mr. Naes) - We are having the 9 weeks test which replaces our lowest test grade. We are also turning in our tessellations.
  • Pre-IB Chemistry I (Ms. Smith) - We are having a test on Chapter 4. Remember that you can bring in extra credit information about quantum theory throughout the week.

Friday -
  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - Have Heart of Darkness read
