Weekly Update!

Hello, everyone! It's been a while. This is a reminder that Pensacola High School's annual, student-directed Evening of One-Acts will be 9-10 October 2009, this Friday and Saturday at 7 PM in the PHS Auditorium. Tickets will be $5 for students and $7 for adults. You can get extra credit in English classes, particularly for Mrs. Benson, who gives you an extra point on your 9 weeks grade just for SHOWING UP! The shows presented will be "A Quiet Place" by Eddie Kennedy, directed by Jarryd Boyd, "The Middle of Nowhere" by Raleigh Marcell, Jr., directed by Seth Friedman, and "Goldilocks on Trial" by Ed Monk, directed by Roy Hornsby. Please come support your peers! They greatly need your support!

This week's agenda:

Monday -
  • IB Chemistry III (Mrs. Smith) - We will be continuing environmental project presentations. Come prepared for your presentation!
  • IB Theory of Knowledge (Mr. Butcher) - The three questions on the video showed in class Thursday and Friday will be due.
  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - We will be continuing poetry presentations. There will also be a vocabulary quiz on Units 8 and 9. Finally, the essay on a symbol from your group's poem will be due. It should be two pages, double-spaced.
  • IB History of the Americas (Mr. Jones) - There will be a quiz on the Central American map.
  • IB Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - The "Dirty Water" Lab is due.
Tuesday -
  • IB Chemistry III (Mrs. Smith) - We will be continuing environmental project presentations. Come prepared for your presentation!

Wednesday -
  • IB Further Mathematics (Mr. Bobbitt) - There will be a test on all of IB Statistics, minus Section F on the Chi-Squared Distribution.
  • IB Chemistry III (Mrs. Smith) - We will be continuing environmental project presentations. Come prepared for your presentation!
  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - We will be continuing poetry presentations.
  • IB Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - The "Signals Transmission Simulation" lab is due.
Thursday -
  • IB Further Mathematics (Mr. Bobbitt) - The review sets for Chapters 7 and 8 from the HL Core textbook will be due.
  • IB Chemistry III (Mrs. Smith) - We will be continuing environmental project presentations. Come prepared for your presentation!
  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - We will be continuing poetry presentations.
  • IB History of the Americas (Mr. Jones) - There will be a test on the Historial Overview, Part 1 Introduction, and Chapter 5 of the textbook.
Friday -
  • IB Chemistry III (Mrs. Smith) - We will be continuing environmental project presentations. Come prepared for your presentation!
  • IB Theory of Knowledge (Mr. Butcher) - Ten journal entries will be due. They will count as 50% of the 9 weeks grade, so do your best!
  • IB English IV (Mrs. Benson) - We will be continuing poetry presentations.
  • IB Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - There will be a quiz on E.1.3, reflex arcs.
