Weekly Update!

Hey, everyone. As previously mentioned, I apologize for the scant (to put it as Helie did) updates in weeks past. Hopefully, it shouldn't happen again.
I am also very sorry for my scant! It won't ever happen again most likely!

Monday -
  • AP English Literature and Composition (Mr. Murray) - Individual Oral Presentations will begin. You should know which day you are presenting, and remember that it will count as 15% of the final IB English HL score, as well as 300 points for a class grade. Be sure to look over all handed-out materials on the matter, as well as the "Final Reminders" sheet. Make sure you submit your complete bibliography by two days after your presentation. Those presenting on Thursday will need to turn theirs in on Friday.
  • IB Pre-Calculus (Mrs. Li) - The IB Math SL IA is due for juniors as 20% of the final IB score. (Correct this if I'm wrong, as it's usually 20% for SL and 30% for HL). The IA is also due for sophomores, but only as a class grade. Be sure to follow the rubric.
  • AP Calculus AB (Mrs. Paedae) - The IB Math SL IA is due for juniors as 20% of the final IB score. Be sure to follow the rubric.
  • AP Calculus BC (Mr. Bobbitt) - The IB Mathematics HL IA is due for juniors. Be sure to follow the rubric to the very best of your ability, and make sure your work is "outstanding" instead of merely "satisfactory". :D For seniors, the 1994 AP free-response problems will be due. Be sure to round everything to three (3) decimal places if not exact.
Wednesday -
  • IB World Geography (Mr. Sutton) - All students need to have Chapter 10 from the textbook read, as well as the end-of-chapter questions (#1-7) answered for review and discussion in class.
  • AP Chemistry (Mrs. Smith) - The rest of the homework for Chapter 16 will be due. Please refer to the assignment sheet for more details.
Thursday -
  • AP Calculus BC (Mr. Bobbitt) - The IB review will be due. Be sure to round everything to three (3) significant figures.
  • AP U.S. History (Mr. Rose) - The 1996 prompt information (AP Breakdown) will be due. Be sure to have the prompt, thesis, sources, at least three (3) historical examples, explained in a few sentences, and at least two memorable quotes. It should be typed in 12-point font.
  • Spanish I - Pre IB (Sra. Martelli) - We are finishing up the test today, so make sure and remember all you needed to remember for today!
Friday -
  • IB Spanish III (Sr. AlemaƱy) - Group orals will be presented. Be prepared to present even if we don't get them all done.
  • AP English Literature and Composition (Mr. Murray) - We will have a quote ID test on Madame Bovary Part III. Be sure, obviously, to have read the book!
  • AP Calculus BC (Mr. Bobbitt) - The rough draft for calculator lab #6 will be due. Make sure to use the individual point assigned in class.
