Helpful Sites

So, we have the idea of linking to all the sites that are recommended by the teachers. Here is the seemingly arbitrary list of subjects (arbitrary it is not, my schedule it is):

Geometry Honors (Naes and Sales) :
Hotmath*

Algebra II Honors (Paedae) : Hotmath*

French (May) :
http://my.hrw.com/
**

*You need the password to log on to Hotmath, ask your teacher for it.

**If you're taking French, you should have your own individual ID and password.

More Info

Yeah, Mrs. Sales' class has the test on Friday.

Mr. Naes mentioned that the test will be mostly based on the quiz we took last week, which is bad for Mrs. Sales' class because we haven't gotten our quizzes back yet....

As for APWH, Mr. Rose mentioned that there will be ten short-answer identifications, of which you MUST complete at least three.

Update!

Upcoming tests: Biology Test, Geometry Test, and APWH Test

For the biology test in Ms. Bidwell's, it is on Friday and will be vocabulary-based. So study the bolded words in the guide, make sure you know what the functions of different parts in the cell are, and you should do fine. Try doing some of the section review/chapter review questions mentally for practice. The biology test for Mr. Robinson's class is on Monday.

Mr. Naes' Geometry Test is tomorrow, Thursday. Go over the Chapter Review he handed out in class, and read over the postulates covered in Chapter 3. I believe he mentioned that most of the test will come from the section about proving lines parallel. In Ms. Sales' class the test is...when, Halie?

For the upcoming APWH test, Mr. Rose mentioned that there will be prompt questions for which the answers can be in bullet form. We will also be required to write theses for the prompts. Study the chapter vocabulary, the outlines we copy in class, and the outline from the website. Additionally, if you haven't already done the study questions, do so - they are important for understanding ideas in the chapter. Review those once you are done.

I hope these tips will help you get ready for this week's tests!

The Start of a New Week!

Hello, everyone! Since today's the start of a new week, naturally, new guides will be up soon to keep pace with classes. I realize that the Geometry Bible, Chapter Three is not up yet - my editor and I had publishing problems last week and it will be available in a few days. The Biology Guide will be on tonight or tomorrow. It is on schedule with Ms. Bidwell's Biology Class.

Now as my editor was just so eager to point out, Geometry is her best subject (she got a 102 average on her progress report). So if you have any questions, feel free to leave her a message about it on Scribd. My best subject is Biology, which I received a 102 average on. We realize that not many people are taking Algebra II, but since we both are, we publish those too.

Tell All Your Friends

Seriously, people! Tell All Your Friends (one of my favorite albums ever, btw) about us!
And, we just broke the top 20 on Scribd! Take a look at the front page....#11...

:]

Note that not only do we have Bio Notes, we also have Geometry and Algebra II Notes.

EDIT: I realize that I didn't put enough emphasis on the fact that we have notes on other subjects....aka math, which is like everyone's worst subject (or so I'm told, geometry is actually my BEST subject...).

"Everybody"

That brings me to another important subject. So far the Scribd group only has two people not including my editor and I. We would really appreciate if everyone spread the word about what's being offered. I'm sure a lot of people would thank you for directing them there.

New Layout

So I hope everyone likes the new layout!
You can thank me for that.

Scribd!

For those of you who don't know what Scribd is for - it's a way to upload documents online so everybody can access them. This blog will just be a way to post updates about the study guides and for people to get their email addresses to my editor and I. When you put your email on here, we'll put it on a list to the group we have on Scribd and then you'll get a link to the group and an invitation.

Today I'll try to get everything that's been done so far on there. If you have any questions about classes or something, feel free to ask by posting a discussion on the group page at Scribd.
