Weekly Update!

As May 15th draws nearer, I'm sure we are all anxious to study for our AP World History Exam! To make it easier, information from the list of topics will be posted online after Tuesday, in the form of project outlines. Look forward to seeing your own work posted on Guides by Julie!

This week's agenda:

Wednesday - (Progress Reports!)

  • Algebra II (Ms. Paedae) - Test on composite functions, the exponential function, and the continuous growth function.
  • English (Ms. Smart) - Diagnostic quiz on comma use and capitalization.
  • APWH (Mr. Rose) - Test on Chapters 30 and 31 from Traditions and Encounters, as well as Chapters 5, 11, and 12 from the Barron's Guide. The multiple choice will come from the online source, the assigned Traditions and Encounters reading, and definitions. Matching comes from the board outlines and the Barron's Guide chapters.
  • Int. Science (Ms. Chrisco) - Science projects for 4th period are due.

Thursday -

  • Biology (Mr. Robinson) - Test on evolution: study chapters 16, 17, and 43.
  • Adv. Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - Vocabulary Quiz

Friday -

  • APWH (Mr. Rose) - Model Examination II is due today. Remember to write down how long it took for each section, correct your multiple choice, and write the prompts for the essays. Remember to highlight!
  • Adv. Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - David Copperfield quiz on Chapters 49-52.
  • Geometry (Mr. Naes) - Test on Chapter 14

Weekly Update!

Another week is ahead of us and it is definitely going to be a busy one! If anyone plans to purchase their books for summer, remember that the book fair is at Barnes and Noble. This book fair is a fundraiser for the Pensacola High School I.B. program, so be sure to tell your cashier you are shopping with the book fair.

This week's agenda:

Monday -
  • APWH (Mr Rose) - Review for the test on Chapters 24 and 29 in Traditions and Encounters. The 33 multiple-choice questions will come from the definitions, while the written prompts will come from the board outlines. Remember to study the transparency notes.
  • English (Ms. Smart) - Quiz on subjects, predicates, and complements from Chapter 14 in English Composition and Grammar

Tuesday -

  • Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - Test on Chapters 33 and 34 - Sponges, Cnidarians, Nematodes, and Rotifers.

Weekly Update!

Hello, everyone -- I hope you enjoyed your Spring Break and had time to relax from the demands of school. Although there's only Memorial Day left as a holiday, there's only school for another 8 weeks. =) As I learn of upcoming tests/quizzes, I will post those dates as soon as possible.

Monday -

  • APWH (Mr. Rose) - Be ready to turn in Model Examination I from the Barron's Guide. Have your multiple choice graded and highlight the thesis and important points in your three essays (DBQ, COT, Comparison)

Friday -

  • Geometry (Ms. Sales and Mr. Naes) - Three blueprints are due for the House Project - the landscaping, 1st floor, and 2nd floor. Make sure it meets the requirements outlined in the packet.
