A couple tests (as usual) are anticipated this week, as well as our Good Friday holiday. The 9 Weeks comes to an end on Thursday.This week's agenda: Monday - - English (Ms. Smart) - Test on Anthem: review the book in preparation.
- Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - Test on Chapters 23 and 24 (Bacteria and Viruses). Look over the Chapter Reviews.
Tuesday -
- Biology (Mr. Robinson) - Test on Genetics.
- English (Ms. Smart) - Begin bringing in materials for building a 3D model of your utopia. Remember to begin planning for an oral presentation.
Thursday -
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - Test on Chapters 22 and 23: There will only be multiple choice and matching on the test. Review the highlighted outlines and the definitions for these chapters.
This week, we can all look forward to those FCAT tests that we love so much. For those who have misplaced the blue FCAT schedule newsletter, the following agenda also includes the testing schedule.Monday - - APWH (Mr. Rose) - We will have Part III of our test today, which is a DBQ-type activity that will count as a quiz grade. Read over the criteria for a DBQ to prepare.

Wednesday -
- FCAT Math until 11:15
- 5th Period, 3rd Period, 4th Period
Thursday -
- Geometry (Mr. Naes) - Our 9 weeks test which will replace our lowest test grade is today. Be sure to review Chapters 9 - 12.
Friday -
- Norm-Reference Testing until 11:15
- 5th Period, 6th Period, 7th Period
The awards ceremony for History Fair was last Saturday -- congratulations to all who participated! Also, congratulations to participants in the American Math Competition - Kay Li won 1st place and Helie Dharia won 2nd.This week's agenda:Wednesday -- Algebra II (Ms. Paedae) - Test on Radical Equations and Expressions: 1) the definition of an extraneous solution, 2) Be able to simplify expressions such as √2/5, the cube root of (2/5), the fourth root of (2/5) etc., that were found in the homework, 3) Reading Guide, 4) Rational Exponents ↔ Radical Expressions, 4) Simplifying, 5) Solving Equations
Friday - - Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - David Copperfield quiz on Chapters 25,26,27, and 28.
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - Test on Chapters 17 and 20. 20th Century history will also be incorporated. The test will be multiple choice and short-answer. There will be two documents from any time period that has been covered in which you will need to analyze the point of view.
- Geometry (Mr. Naes) - Test on Chapter 12.
