This week there are several things going on: District History Fair judging will be on Monday and Tuesday at the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Additionally, the American Math Competition at UWF is on Wednesday.
This week's agenda:
Monday -
- Biology (Mr. Robinson) - Quiz on Chapter Eight: Cell Reproduction. For your convenience, the Biology Guide for Chapter Eight is in the post below. (Tip: view it at full screen)
- Algebra II (Ms. Paedae) - Test on polynomials. I believe this is only for the periods that did not see her last Wednesday.
- English (Ms. Smart) - The notecards for research papers are due today - she expects approximately 30 index cards.
Thursday -
- Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - As usual, there is a vocabulary quiz today.
Friday -
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - Barron's quiz on Chapters 29, 30, and 31.
- Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - David Copperfield quiz on Chapters 21,22,23, and 24.
This week, we have another late-start day - on Wednesday, we will only be seeing our 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th period classes. Also, remember to get your progress reports signed and turned in.This week's agenda:Monday -- Biology (Mr. Robinson) - There is a test on the Ecology unit.
Tuesday -
- Adv. Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - Since we did not take our vocabulary and David Copperfield quizzes for last week yet, we will be taking them today. Remember to review the David Copperfield vocabulary.
- English (Ms. Smart) - Remember to bring all of your books and other research materials.
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - We will receive the grades for our first Barron's Quiz today.
Wednesday -
- Late Start Day! Periods 4 - 7 only.
Thursday -
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - The test on Chapter 15 and 16 is today: review the outlines from the board as well as the highlighted parts of the Chapter 16 outline. The multiple choice will mainly focus on Chapter 15.
Friday -
- Algebra II (Ms. Paedae) - Test on polynomials.
- Geometry (Mr. Naes and Ms. Sales) - We are having our Chapter 11 test, which covers circles and geometric probability.
After last week's hectic schedule, I'm sure we were all thankful for that small break the weekend offers. Congratulations to members of the Latin Forum for placing 2nd overall at the competition on Saturday! On February 9th, members of our Mu Alpha Theta team will also be going to a competition. This week, Ms. Smart's English classes will begin narrowing down topics for their research paper.This week's agenda:Monday -
- Biology (Ms. Bidwell) - We are having a test on Chapters 15 and 17 - Be sure to review the study guides as well as look over the chapters.
- English (Ms. Smart) - Julius Caesar essays are due today. Remember to bring a pack of index cards as well as a folder for research purposes.
Middle of Week -
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - We will be having a DBQ sometime in the middle of the week. Look over periods of history we have studied if you would like to be ready.
Thursday -
- Adv. Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - Our scheduled vocabulary quiz is on Thursday. Remember to memorize the David Copperfield vocabulary.
Friday -
- APWH (Mr. Rose) - Notebook checks are beginning today. There is also a Barron's Quiz on Chapters 32 (Divergent Forms of Development...), 33 (Social Developments, Cultural Changes,...), and 34 (Integration or Fragmentation?).
- Adv. Reading (Ms. Crittenden) - The usual David Copperfield quiz, this time on Chapters 9 - 12. Remember to keep up with your booknotes.
