Weekly Update!

So the exams are finally over, and it's now time to start a new semester! Report cards will be going out on January 28 (dun dun duuuuun). This is a chance for everyone to just start over and leave the first semester of IB behind us.

I hope everyone has had success in going through their midterms! On Wednesday, January 16, the 2nd Semester will have officially begun. This week is basically a recovery period from the hectic midterm schedule; our teachers won't schedule anything in unless they want us to revolt or something...lol.

Under Construction!

So, a couple of days ago, Julie and I received an interesting email. The contents of the email are immaterial right now, but the point is, we realized how long it's been since we have updated or even paid attention to the blog. We have a few things in the works, including a few changes.

One, we will be changing up our system of indexing. Look for updates on that in the next week.

Two, I am now in charge of the Algebra Two guides. However, since Ms. Paedae is being rather haphazard about what we're studying in terms of the book, Algebra Two is on an official hiatus. We hope, at least, to have an entire set done by next year, when most of you will be taking it.

Three, we are also making a few changes on Scribd. We want to make it clear that no offensive language will be allowed on any of the discussion boards or comments. Also, there should be no breaking of the honor code, which can include telling others about upcoming tests, etc. Julie also deleted her Integrated Science Outlines, as technically, those are homework assignments that will be assigned next term.

All in all, we are very busy, what with homework and Julie's Study Guides and all. Any questions? Contact us at guidesbyjulie@gmail.com. Message us on Scribd. You can even leave a comment on this post. Have a good weekend!

Index of Documents (Updated!)

We figured that we need a sort of index of all of the documents on Scribd, with links to each one. This will be organized by subject. Also included is the name of the person who creates them. You should contact them if you have any problems or suggestions.

Weekly Update!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break -- it was definitely nice while it lasted! :D

This week, I do not know of any tests scheduled as of yet. Today, Robo's class had a Chapter 6 quiz, and Mrs. Chrisco's class took an open-outline quiz on Chapter 10.

In Mr. Rose's APWH class, a test is loosely scheduled for next Friday on Chapter 10 - Mediterranean Society: The Greek Phase. Tomorrow, his classes will review the China test. Progress reports will be handed out on Friday.

Weekly Update!

I hope everyone enjoys their Veteran's Day holiday!
This week there are three tests planned. Thankfully, they are not all on the same day...

On Tuesday -
  • Geometry - Mr. Naes is giving a test on Chapter 6. Prepare yourself by doing the chapter review and test in the book.

On Thursday -

  • English - Ms. Smart's classes are having a mythology test on Chapters 7 - 15, excluding 8. She also expects highlights of each chapter. Review your notes. EDIT: Ms. Smart's test has been moved to Friday!
  • Bidwell's Biology - We are having a test on Chapter Eight, Cell Reproduction. Also, the labs are due.

On Friday -

  • AP World History - Mr. Rose is giving a "quest" (quiz/test) on Chapter 8. If your grade is high, it will be weighted as a test, and if it is not, it will be weighted as a quiz. He is going to begin to collect binders this week as well.
  • Reading - The David Copperfield quiz on this week's chapters will be on Friday, instead of the Monday after Thanksgiving.
  • Geometry - There is a quiz on the first half of Chapter Seven, probably sections 1-3. Also, if you plan on doing the extra credit, you should bring in a floppy disk or flash drive to copy the assignment onto. If you don't have those, please contact me, and I will try and email you a copy. Or, we might post it on Scribd.
